Hi! I’m Carol Anne. One of my online handles is writeandteach, and that’s who you’ll see me posting as on this site. I write and I teach, hence, writeandteach. Makes sense, eh?
I’ve been scrapbooking on and off, since I was 16 years old. I love playing with paper, pictures, and ink. Better yet, I have two daughters and a husband who loves the pages I make for them. I don’t have to make excuses to scrapbook or buy supplies. That’s nice.
I taught classes at a local scrapbooking store (which sadly no longer exists) in 2005 and 2006. My specialities were journalling, getting new scrappers started and organized, creating memory boards (graduations, funerals), and creating handmade books. Some day, I hope to turn some of my lesson plans into eBooks.
Since 2007, I’ve been doing digital scrapbooking, too. But I was using my computer in my scrapbooking long before there was such a thing as digital scrapbooking. Officially, I would be classified as a hybrid scrapbooker. My main computer tools are PaintShop Pro (inexpensive and reliable), the latest version of MS Word, and my Epson R1800.
My style is clear and concise, and all about the story. I don’t put a bunch of doo-dads on my pages or follow the latest trends. I’m trying to record personal history and preserve photographs. When Cathy Zielske published Clean & Simple Scrapbooking, I thought “FINALLY, a scrapbooking professional who scraps like I do!” I think it’s just a co-incidence that both of us are from St. Paul, MN.
My gallery is up and running, so take a look. I appreciate any comments you might leave. Drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for stopping by the site!
