I took this picture at Sarah’s request, because her friends at school don’t believe that her puppy wears a diaper.
It looks more like a cumberbun, but it does the trick. Oh, it is bliss not to be mopping pup-pee off the floor on a daily, if not hourly basis.
It has other benefits, too. The absorbant part of the diaper is a maxi pad. John now knows all about maxi pads. He never touched one before we put Laddie Macalester in his diaper. Said it grossed him out for a week. Took him another week for him to realize there was adhesive on the back of the maxi pad…
Laddie Mac’s diaper cover gets … wet … on occasion. John figured out he could put together some zip ties, put them by a furnace fan vent in the basement, and hang the freshly hand-washed (by him!) diaper cover on this make-shift clothes line.
“Free dryer!” he says proudly. That guy loves his baby boy.
